Costuming: Drag Queen Bee

As I'm too busy with jewelry work to even think about costuming this year, I thought I'd share some pics from Halloween past...

I've worn this costume twice and may very well use part of it this year, as well. (Don't judge! You'd do the same. Even though it's all handmade, there are some respectable $$$ at play here.)

At 6'3" in platform shoes, well-corseted, and with heavy makeup, my 'Drag Queen Bee' had most people questioning my gender... Hilarious!

My very favorite part of this costume—and the whole reason I designed it in the first place—is the huge beehive of hair. It's what I've always wanted!  (You should know that when you see my hair piled on top of my head—every day—THIS is what I dream it to be...)

The photo above was the 'pretty' makeup year - the following year was full-on DRAG...

I prefer it with the shades...

With an extremely toxic Britney, AKA Clint... whose costume actually lit up!

The unbelievable talent behind the Toxic Britney costume, and so much more: The Amazing Amber!

For concept - the honey-drip jewelry made of amber glass (my first foray into jewelry!) is my second-favorite detail -- although the bead-encrusted beehive staff was truly a labor of love...
