Everything in the shop is designed by Maral Rapp and lovingly handmade in San Francisco. I strive to create unique, evocative jewelry—re-engineering deco era metal mesh and other overlooked vintage treasures into contemporary, wearable pieces. Fragments of a bygone era, the resulting works are rich with history yet decidedly modern—and as sustainable as they are chic.
Certain pieces are one-of-a-kind or very small runs, due to the limited availability of vintage materials. We're constantly on the hunt for torn, chipped, and tarnished mesh bags which are deconstructed, cleaned, and transformed into jewelry. All mesh is exclusively Whiting & Davis from machines dating to the early/mid 1900s, the selection ranging from antique, heavily worn patinas—through vintage, slightly softened surfaces—to newer, brightly plated finishes.
